Painter & Decorator

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting or decorating by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.

• Painting & Decorating: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other surfaces.

• Maintaining Equipment: Ensure that painting tools and equipment are well-maintained and clean.

• Health & Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring the work area is safe and tidy.

• Client Communication: Interact with clients in a professional manner, ensuring their needs are met and providing updates on job progress.

• Work Management: Ensure that jobs are completed on time and to a high standard, with attention to detail.

• Team Collaboration: Work alongside other team members or contractors to complete projects.

• Post-Job Clean-Up: Ensure that all areas are cleaned and materials are disposed of properly after each job.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator, with a portfolio of previous work.

• Good understanding of painting techniques, tools, and materials.

• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including sanding, filling, and priming.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and high standards of work.

• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.

• Understanding of health and safety regulations within the industry.

• Ability to work in a variety of environments (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
